  • AIMS

    The STAPS license is a general license over the first 3 semesters. It mainly aims to develop in-depth skills among students concerning the analysis of Physical, Sports and Artistic Activities (APSA) and motor skills, the design and implementation of intervention projects with educational aims.

    From semester 4, the STAPS License in Education and Motor Skills aims to transform motor skills by relying on physical, sporting and artistic activities in all educational environments.

    In the 3rd year of the EM License, the student must choose a study path:

    General Course

    School Teacher Course (PE)

    The holder of this training leads and facilitates interventions aimed at the practice of these activities for educational purposes. He practices independently while ensuring the safety of practitioners and third parties.

  • TARGETED STUDENTS

    This degree is intended for students interested in teaching in primary schools or in Physical and Sports Education in secondary schools;The aim of this course is to provide a general overview of the different types of education and training in the field of sports and physical education in Europe.

  • STRUCTURE AND ORGANISATION

    Semesters 1, 2 and 3 : common core.

    Semester 4  students choose the speciality; Education and Motor Skills.

    Semesters 5 and 6 : 2 choices of pathway possible :

    • Course Teacher of Schools (PE)

    Fundamental and methodological teaching courses, applied teaching and internship.

  • KNOWLEDGE TO BE ACQUIRED

    Address all dimensions of motor skills and APSA, technical, historical, psychological, sociological, physiological, biomechanical, etc. in order to build a solid theoretical base (a foundation of knowledge) and broad for future professionals. This multidisciplinarity in the knowledge acquired constitutes an asset for students in this field. One of the particularities of the STAPS license is to be anchored in three varied areas: the practical and theoretical discovery of numerous APSAs, scientific and multidisciplinary university training and finally, rapid immersion in a pre-professional situation.

  • PROFESSIONAL SKILLS TO BE ACQUIRED

    • Analyze motor behaviors and the different forms of APSA practice,
    • Program, design, implement and evaluate projects, sequences and sessions in APSA (General Course) / in all disciplines (PE) with reflection on interdisciplinarity,
    • Adapt content according to populations,
    • Organize and manage lessons (APSA or other disciplines) and cohorts of learners,
    • Present and communicate a project,
    • Present and promote your career path and your professional project orally, in writing and using ICT.
  • INTERNSHIPS AND SUPERVISED PROJECTS

    During his Personal Professional Project, the student is accompanied and guided in the construction of his project.

    In license 2, semester 4, the student will do an internship for a period of 10 weeks (framed in primary school for all students in the EM sector).

    In L3, the duration of the internship is equivalent to that of the university year (twice 12 weeks). The PE course offers two types of internship (different contexts and levels of education).

  • SUPPORT FOR YOUR LABOR MARKET INTEGRATION

    An internship office helps students choose and find their internships. A network of former students is led by faculty staff. Three associations domiciled at the faculty also work for the integration of students.
