Located in an enchanting site on the edge of the Calanques National Park, but also in Gap and Aubagne, the Faculty of Sports Sciences (#FSS) provides training in the field of Physical and Sports Activities Sciences and Techniques. This demanding university curriculum is based on multidisciplinary scientific teachings (physiology, biomechanics, neuroscience, sociology, psychology, history). Within this framework, Sports and Artistic Physical Activities (APSA) are objects of study analyzed through the prism of this scientific knowledge, to make our students the experts of tomorrow's sport to teach, train, measure, manage, innovate, optimize, adapt and design, in more than 50 different professions.
In addition to our national diplomas (Bachelor's degree - Professional degree - Master's degree & Doctorate) organized into fields (Education and Motor Skills, Sport Management, Adapted Physical Activity & Health, Engineering and Ergonomics; Management of Sports Organizations; Training and Optimization), we offer short diplomas with the #FSS label, linked to the socio-economic world, a Master's degree in Engineering that is unique in France, and a year of specialization at the Bac+5 level offered in collaboration with Polytech Marseille.
All of our training programs are supported by the scientific activities of two research laboratories: the Institute of Movement Sciences (ISM), a joint research unit involving Aix-Marseille University and the CNRS, and the "Management, Sport and Cancer" laboratory of Aix-Marseille University in collaboration with the Paoli Calmettes Institute.
Our entire training and research program is designed to enable our 1,800 students to build a study project that becomes a professional life project, in close collaboration with the socio-economic world grouped within our Partners Club.
By placing students at the heart of its concerns, the Faculty of Sport Sciences allows them to follow, choose and manage their university course in optimal conditions, because their academic success and professional integration are our primary objectives.

Christophe BOURDIN, Dean of the Faculty of Sport Sciences of the University of Aix-Marseille.
