  • AIMS

The socio-economic sector sees sport and physical activities taking an increasingly important market share. In this area, the improvement of physical qualities becomes an individual and collective concern within both amateur and professional clubs. Sports performance is a complex concept which implies precise and complete support for the athlete. To achieve this, it calls for technical and practical knowledge as well as scientific knowledge that justifies the effectiveness of training strategies. This problem therefore requires recourse to scientific fields to rationalize training so that it is more qualitative. This DESU is additional information and know-how that will enrich the knowledge of students and sports professionals who wish to better understand how to become a versatile physical trainer. The purpose of this training is to equip the individuals involved from a technical and scientific point of view to develop training plans that are constructed, logical and adapted to the athlete and the discipline in question.

  • TARGETED STUDENTS

The D.E.S.U. is intended for sports professionals (physical trainers, coaches, etc.) wishing to complete their training, but also for students or volunteers who are very committed to high performance sports.

This university degree also concerns health professionals such as physiotherapists or osteopaths who wish to deepen their scientific knowledge in order to optimize the effectiveness of the follow-up of injured athletes.

The lessons of each week are supplemented by group work which will be assessed on Friday morning.

  • KNOWLEDGE TO BE ACQUIRED

This knowledge will be at the service of the performance of a given discipline. It will be a question of identifying one's own physical qualities and developing them in order to optimize performance in this discipline in question.
