AIMS
The Master EOPS courses take place on the Luminy campus and welcome a limited intake of 20 students. The aim of the "EOPS" major is to train students capable of individualising physical preparation - and, in some cases, mental preparation - in various sporting disciplines.
Throughout the two years of training, particular attention is paid to the link between theory and practice. The EOPS Masters is thus based on a multidisciplinary approach to the study of sports performance. In particular, this training involves mastery of technological tools enabling scientific and technical expertise to be carried out in the fields of performance and training.
The challenge is to know how to analyse and optimally exploit an athlete's physical capacities in order to adapt them to the specific requirements of their discipline.
The EOPS Master's graduate thus acquires a triple skill set - scientific, professional and sporting - enabling him or her to design, pilot and appraise training programmes aimed at optimising sports performance and/or reathletisation.
In addition, this Masters is open to sandwich courses.
TARGETED STUDENTS
The training is intended for an audience of students holding a STAPS license, but also for training professionals wishing to complete their training or validate acquired experience.

KNOWLEDGE TO BE ACQUIRED
The targeted knowledge will focus on the physiological parameters specific to performance but also on the biomechanical and psychological knowledge that has an impact on performance. Knowledge related to the management of a group of athletes will also be covered. In addition, knowledge in the creation of sports-oriented businesses will be part of the knowledge useful for the professionalization of students.
PROFESSIONAL SKILLS TO BE ACQUIRED
The lessons aim to acquire the following skills:
1) the evaluation and measurement of the physical and mental abilities of athletes specific to the different disciplines,
2) the planning of training and physical preparation for the purpose of optimizing performance,
3) the study of the different training methods specific to the development of each physical quality (maximum strength, explosive strength, endurance, resistance, etc.), which will be justified by scientific evidence,
4) the identification of the athlete's pathologies and the specific methodology of retraining,
5) the study of the management of a group in training and competition situations as well as communication with the various interlocutors of the sports structure,
6) the major dietary rules to adopt in order to optimize performance and minimize the risk of injury,
7) the planning of the sessions by adapting the programs to the practitioners and to the APS and
8) the mastery of new technologies that are developed to measure performance.
INTERNSHIPS AND SUPERVISED PROJECTS
In the 2nd year of the Master's degree, students must complete a 4-month internship in a professional environment and, in the disciplinary lessons, the emphasis is placed on the use of new technologies. The internship will take place during the second semester. As during the M1 internship, it is for the student to apply the skills acquired during his training. The difference is that, while being directed by the internship supervisor, the student will have to have more responsibilities and work with more autonomy.
