Publication of the book 2022: Special Needs and Resilience through Judo

Publication of a book :

title: Childhood in difficulty and resilience through Judo

by André Raufast, and Pierre Therme (Preface Marcel Rufo)

Publisher: Champ Social (Nov2022) ISBN-13: 979-1034607662

This book addresses, for the first time, the question of the impact of a regular practice of judo on the resilience of children with severe to moderate psychological disorders, up to those with great difficulties of psychosocial adaptation in elementary school. This resilience dynamic is tested and evaluated by an interdisciplinary team of specialists in sports science and child psychiatry.

In this perspective, the results of this study are particularly in line with the work of Boris Cyrulnik on resilience through sport and that of Marcel Rufo on the importance of cultural care in the management of children in difficulty.

This book is intended for health, education and sports professionals, students, as well as specialized associations, institutional decision-makers, and anyone interested in the theme of resilience through sport.

André Raufast is a doctor in sports science, a clinical psychologist, a professor of judo and a former judo international
