A word from the Dean

Located in the unique setting of the Parc National des Calanques and also present in Gap and Aubagne, the Faculté des Sciences du Sport (FSS) is a center of academic excellence and innovation in the field of Sciences et Techniques des Activités Physiques et Sportives (STAPS). Our multi-disciplinary courses, combining physiology, biomechanics, neuroscience, sociology and psychology, enable us to explore Physical, Sports and Artistic Activities (PSAAs) as objects of in-depth scientific analysis.
With more than 50 career opportunities, our students prepare to excel in a wide range of sectors: teaching, coaching, management, adapted physical activity, engineering and human factors. We offer a wide range of diplomas: Licence, Licence Professionnelle, Master, Doctorat, as well as University Diplomas (DU) and specialized courses, notably the Cursus Master Ingénierie, unique in France.

The close link between training and research is our strength, thanks to two laboratories of excellence: the Institut des Sciences du Mouvement (ISM), in partnership with the CNRS, and the "Management, Sport Cancer" laboratory, associated with the Institut Paoli-Calmette. This synergy offers our 1,800 students unique opportunities to transform their study project into a real life project, in close collaboration with a solid network of socio-economic partners.
