Clone of Return on the CROSS Licence 1 STAPS

Saturday, March 18, 2023

The fourth edition of the L1 cross was held on Saturday, March 18, as the final event of 48 hours dedicated to the L1.

Following the orientation forum and the sports night, sponsored by Elias Kadi (Salomon team and former FSS student), nearly 600 students set out to tackle the demanding 7 km course laid out by Albéric Malfatti (teacher in charge of high-level sportsmen and women, the sailing speciality and the orienteering and trail courses).

Encouraged all along the course by nearly 100 volunteers and L1 students, they fought against themselves always, against their opponents often and sometimes against the clock.

The day before the event, Clara Entresangle asked me what the record set last year by Nélie Clément, a runner with a rich national and international record of achievement, was. She therefore knew who she was up against. It smelled like a challenge by time!

By breaking the 30' barrier, she set the new course record in 29'33, 52'' under the previous one.

For the boys, it was Quentin Berga who completed the course in 26'19 and who, as a way of decongesting, went back to run with the girls to support the middle of the pack.

Among our forty or so AMU guests, Claire Auzou, a student in M2 MEEF, who came to relax after writing the CAPEPS exam, won the women's race in 34'14.

In the men's race, Titouan Cloarec, L2 ESPM, won the race and improved his time from the 2022 cross by 2'.

We hope to see you in the Team Orga for the cross 2024 and its new features ;)

Albéric Malfatti, Thierry François, Thomas Royet and Xavier Cérati
